Statement

Criss Mills is an Atlanta GA based Artist / Architect who works in the space between the two disciplines. His recent work springs from Architectural drawing on the fringe. Through plans and sections, the figures are made up of entangled fragments. The work sits between these images, resisting stability through overlay, blurs and folds. This dynamic state opens the work to multiple readings, provoking dislocation to normative perception. Mr. Mills holds both M. Arch and MFA degrees. He has received a number of grants and fellowships in connection with his history of installations and site works. Drawing associated with that work is in the collection of The High Museum.
